Sorry for Party Rocking...

Ladies and Gentlemen, the concert event of the year...<3
LMFAO AND KE$HA!
SEPTEMBER 16TH 2011
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA @ PLANET HOLLYWOOD

Of course a show like this requires excessive amounts of glitter. Do you think I got a little carried away?

Me and two of my best friends, Jake and Tyson decided to take a road trip for this event. When we heard about it, we knew it would be the perfect kind of party.

As you know from previous blogposts, I have seen Ke$ha in concert before. Twice actually! She opened for Rihanna back in 2010...and then I caught her concert at the Saltair back in February. I am a pretty big fan, so I was excited to see her again. I mostly went to the show to see LMFAO though. They are one of my new favorite bands. They call their music a new kind of genre called "Party Rock" and it really is just perfect for that. Every hit is easy to dance to and they have so many fun songs. A few favorites? "I'm in Miami, Bitch," (they changed the lyrics to Las Vegas for us though) "Shots," "Get Crazy," (the theme song from Jersey Shore!) and the newest one, my favorite summer song obsession "Party Rock Anthem." I have to say they rocked the damn house! I couldn't sit still if I tried. The atmosphere was awesome. They had a light show, threw beach balls in the audience, and of course balloons came down from the ceiling! Everyone was dancing and singing, it was a blast. One girl had quite the dilemma during her fun at the show:
Girl, stumbling: OMG! I F**KING LOVE LMFAO! HEY, HAS ANYONE SEEN MY SHOES???

Ke$ha herself was having quite the good time as well:
Ke$ha grabs a champage bottle, turns to crowd, screaming: "LETS GET F**KING WASTED!!!!" proceeds to open bottle, chug the liquor, spit it out at the crowd and smash the bottle.

Ke$ha: "You guys, I have a big problem...there just isn't enough glitter on my titties!"
Backstage crew runs out and covers her in glitter.

My favorite Ke$ha concert experience was probably when I saw her at the Saltair, but this one was cool because she had added new things I hadn't seen when I saw her back then. She had a lot of special effects too and of course her glitter showers at the end of the show hahaha.

She also has a new album of dance remixes (I am the dance commander, and I command you to dance) that was just released, so a lot of her songs were remixed with dubstep which was awesome! She even has a new song too, one called "F**k him he's a DJ" which is now a favorite.

Poor Jake was so exhausted from school, work and all the testing going on at school that he just started passing out during the show. I never laughed so hard. Who the hell would fall asleep AT KE$HA!?! Me and Tyson kept making fun of him saying about how Jake thought her song "Sleazy" said "Sleepy" instead.

Oh boy, I had the time of my life.
Afterwards, we went to the CLUB <3 Basically it was one of the most amazing nights of my life!

Vegas, Baby!

This weekend was amazing! I got a visit from my boy Dillinger all the way from the 801 (Salt Lake City for those of you unaware) and we decided to hit up VEGAS with our boys Cole and Jake...
Hanging out with Dillinger while he got ready for the night...he was going to a rave later this weekend and I had to make my own special rave outfit to make him laugh!

Me and Dillinger both got our smiles done on the same day @ Dr. Olsen's! Showing off out cute new smiles :D to quote Dillinger, we "look like Rockstars..."

I'm not gonna lie...this guy was a total jerk. We asked him for a pic and he acted like he was totally annoyed. Mad Hatter = Mad Asshole. I'm dunzo with that guy...i'll throw something alice in wonderland related at him if i see his ass on the strip again lol

This is probably my favorite picture! We had the time of lives walking the strip and catching up...nothing like a sin city party with your fav babes! I wish I had more to write about, but the pictures really say it all.

Manda

That Bitch Who Lives in Oz...

Once upon a time there were 3 best friends who loved to gamble...

One of them posed by fried chicken posters and lost $40. He was the saddest of the best friends, and also the most intoxicated. He did have 2 AMF's...adios mother fu...well, you know the rest.

The other best two best friends were just innocently playing the slot machines and got treated to the laugh of a life time when their um, cute fried chicken loving friend proceeded to get into an intense conversation with some sweet little old ladies innocently playing the Wizard of Oz machines.

CHRIS: Ugh, I am not winning a damn thing from these machines.
What is your secret?
OLD LADY #1: We aren't winning either! We just put more in to start with.
CHRIS: Damn, I'm getting pissed...that Glinda the Good Witch is a real bitch.
OLD LADY 2: Yeah, she is a BITCH!
CHRIS: (slurred words) YEAH, SHE IS! A RED HEADED BITCH! FUCK HER!

I don't think anyone almost peed their pants at the slot machines before, (well, atleast my age anyway) but it nearly happened today. I have to say it was a day I will never forget...

Me and the Glinda Hater...

Salt Lake City Pride 2011

This weekend was so much fun! I am so happy it all worked out and that we were able to go up to Salt Lake City to visit Casey and Dillinger for Gay Pride. At first it was a mess because Jake didn't think he could get work off, but after begging nearly every CNA at Kolob he finally got his shifts covered.

I love road trips! The whole way up north we were blast Lady Gaga's new CD and talking up a storm. Cole is crazy...he was mooning cars on the way! I almost crashed the car from laughing so damn hard. We did start to get tired of being in the car and after we finally got there we couldn't have been happier. Casey and Dillinger's apartments are so cute! They are in the heart of SLC right by the Gateway mall...you could literally walk there. I love the location, it is perfect...after this trip it made me want to move to SLC!

After we arrived, we did what we do best: Get ready! Casey's roommate Justin had a little get together at his apartment, and we got to meet some of the SLC gays (him and his friends call themselves The Wolf Pack! They were all so nice and fun.) Later that night there were having a huge celebration at Club Pure, which is a gay club that is 18+. I was so excited to go and dance with my boys! They have the best DJ and the club was PACKED! I read that over 2,600 people attended that night! It was crazy. After we went to the club we went over to our new friends Aaron and Lukas's house to visit with them, they are both really fun and were filling us in about everything salt lake style.

The next day we mostly spent time together. We went shopping and drove around, and Casey's friend Kyla came over to spend time with us. She is adorable! She was making me laugh the whole night. We had to rest up for Sunday since that was the big day with all the most fun events. My darling friend Dillinger had a bit too much to drink and fell over in the elevator (so did Cole, weirdly enough! At the exact same moment. It was hilarious) and smashed my foot! Everyone always says i'm a diva and a drama queen, so no one believed me when I burst into tears and said my shoe was filling up with blood. Yet it was the truth...the stains all down the hallway in Casey's apartment complex are there to prove it! hahaha. Dillinger was so sweet though, he bandaged my foot up for me and just wanted to make sure I was okay...I really love him :)
Sunday was my favorite day for sure, since we got to go to the Gay Pride Parade! It was so fun. There were tons of trannies...roller derby girls...hot gogo dancers in cages...and free condoms for all! HAHA!
After the parade we decided to hit up the festival at Liberty Park. They were fun booths everywhere, and they even had live music, such as one of the 80s most famous bands, Expose. Chris was so sad he couldn't come for Pride, he loves them so much! I felt horrible too. It was cool to be able to see them perform live though I wish he could have been there.

Casey decided to become a kleptomaniac at the festival...everytime i checked my purse there was another "treasure" from one of the booths that Casey thought I would like. He stole feathers and a hair clip! I almost peed my pants from laughing so hard. My sincerest apologies to all the hard working vendors who lost money on their merchandise this weekend HAHAHA

After we went to the festival we went to Pure again :) this time it was for a free BBQ and later for dancing. My favorite thing had to be just laughing with all my friends though...we miss Casey and Dillinger all the time and we got to see them 3 days straight and have the most fun adventure any "fruit fly" could ask for! I never got so much love, by the way! Not only from my own friends but also from the new ones I made up in SLC. What can I say...the gays love me! And I love all of you too...thats why I love pride so much! It's my new yearly tradition. I can't wait to go to the one in VEGAS!!
Love always,
Manda

New Friends, New Hair...Changes, Changes

I am so excited about the way everything has been going lately :) While I am sad that two of my besties moved away, I did meet some fun new friends that I really clicked with. I've been having a lot of fun playing with Cole and Jake lately :) They are really easy to talk to and total sweethearts, and I love the random adventures we have and how much we laugh when we play together!

You gotta love summertime...this is the only time of year where I can be "wild and crazy" (but not too much!) and stay out waayyy late since I don't have to get up early early for school. I love having that freedom...even though I get pretty freakin tired when I finally do have to wake up. Last week I was running on 10 hours of sleep stretched out over 3 days...it really sucked. It was worth all the memories we made tho...and like I said in my last post, it was a good send off for Casey and Dillinger (who I miss like crazy, even though they have been gone only 4 days :( )

Me and Cole

Me and Jake

In other recent news, my undercover lover (and the best damn student that has only been in hair school for one month I know) blessed my life today by cutting my hair for free.

Honestly, I hadn't been able to afford a haircut since January! Money has been so tight lately. No fashionista likes admitting that, but its the truth here...I was one broke girl. Still kind of am :)

But Kohlby James...you kick ass. Enough said! I can't believe my hair looks as amazing as it does and you have been in school since April 19th...it like defies the laws of physics...I don't understand. He seriously is a genius! (See above pics for photos of the new 'do!)

I'm trying a sassy new asymmetrical cut for fun, and he added blonde in it so that it would be a fun fresh start for Summer :) I was nervous about how short it was at first, but I am getting used to it and am getting a lot of compliments.

Love you Kohlbs! We had a fun night out of it too...dying hair, eating pizza and watching "Funny Girl" with Tyler too :) I love laughing with my friends...we have too much fun!
Love Always,
Manda
